Then Is Now Podcast Episode 28 – Rare Exports (2010)

Merry Christmas, everyone!

As 2020 draws to a close (finally!), Christmas is now upon us! And while we at Then Is Now could simply discuss a Christmas movie, we decided that we needed a little something more. So if you like your holidays to have a darker edge, then you need look no further that the Finnish film, Rare Exports from 2010!

My guest co-host, newcomer Jack Gorey, and I discuss this little known film that has gained a cult following over the years. A company drilling in a mountain in Finland unearths something that may have to do with the origins of Santa Claus, and it’s up to a young boy named Pietari to save everyone from ending up on the naughty list!

This picture definitely falls into the category of something you SHOULD know about. But be warned, while this film involves Santa Claus, it is definitely NOT for kids!! So grab your eggnog or hot cocoa, sit back, and listen as Jack and Re-Gor discuss the film. We definitely recommend that you see it first, then listen to this episode, as we break it down from beginning to end.
