Welcome to the first episode of our yearly event called 13 Days of Hallowtober. Every October, for the last 13 days, we put out an episode a day, discussing horror movies that fall into whatever theme we’ve chosen. Last year, in 2020, the theme was scariest movies of all time, and with the assistance of my group of rotating co-hosts, we discussed what are widely regarded as the scariest movies of all time.
This year, our theme is “modern Zombie movies”! That is, we will only be covering zombie films released after and inspired by George Romero’s 1968 horror film, Night of the Living Dead! We won’t be covering the Voodoo inspired zombie films prior to 1968, like White Zombie or I Walked with a Zombie. No, the films we are covering are post 1968.
Today, Spency and I are going to discuss one that is terrifying, but very different from most other zombie movies, World War Z from 2013, so sit back and get ready for a fun discussion!!
