Quickies by Shaun Daniels and Edited by Sharon Wong

Creepy #7  Written by Joe R. Lansdale, Bill Morrison, Dan Braun, Keith Lansdale, Martin Salvador & Archie Goodwin, Art by Guus Floor, Patric Reynolds, Wilfredo Torres, Steve Skeates & Steve Ditko, Cover by Sanjulian, Letters by Nate Piekos and Published by Dark Horse Comics

Each and every month, this revived horror analogy series continues to live up to its namesake.  Issue #7 boasts five terrifying and creepy tales from the likes of Archie Goodwin and Dan Braun to Patric Reynolds and Guus Floor.  The first of two standouts is “Bloodsuckers” by writer Bill Morrison and artist Wilfredo Torres, a story with a unique take on a town being ravaged by vampires.   A stranger arrives in town promising to rid the town of their blood draining problem but without using stakes or holy water against the vampires.  The second tale is a reprint written by Martin Salvador and art by Steve Skeates about a man looking for “The Ultimate High.”  This quest comes at a high cost to the man’s life.

Hellraiser #9  Written by Clive Barker & Anthony DiBlasi, Art by Janusz Ordon & Stephen Thompson, Cover by Tim Bradstreet & Nick Percival and Published by BOOM! Studios

Issue #9 is touted as “a trajectory that will forever change the Cenobites and Pinhead!”  The world of Hellraiser will not be the same after this issue, marking a new reality for the book.  Kristy Cotton and Pinhead have leashes on life or in the latter’s case, afterlife.  Jump aboard the horrific chain and leather-bound train known as Hellraiser.
